You’re invited to the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Wallkill Valley Heritage Trail as part of Franklin’s Day/Night festivities celebrating our nation’s 250th birthday.

Location: Trailhead on Maple Road (by the police station)

- Interpretive trail tour to Wildcat Road following the ceremony
This trail represents the beginning of a project 25 years in the making. We thank the State of New Jersey DEP for their support. It is my hope that within five years the Wallkill Valley Heritage Trail will extend to Sparta and into New York State, growing from its start here in Franklin into a regional asset.
