The Franklin Borough Police Department strives to maintain a high quality of law enforcement services. Improving the relationship between employees and the public facilitates cooperation vital to the department’s ability to achieve its goals. We are committed to providing law enforcement services that are fair, effective, and impartially delivered. It is our policy to accept and investigate all complaints of department and employee’s alleged misconduct or wrongdoing from all persons who wish to file a complaint, regardless of the hour or day of the week. This includes reports from anonymous sources, juveniles, undocumented immigrants, and persons under arrest or in custody.

In accordance with the Internal Affairs Policies & Procedures (IAPP) of the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, the Franklin Borough Police Department has made the Internal Affairs Information Sheet and Complaint Form electronically available in eleven different languages; These forms DO NOT require sworn statements or verifications of truth and including personal information is optional.

If you want to file a complaint against a Franklin Borough Police Department officer, please call the Internal Affairs Supervisor, Capt. Seamus Geddis, at (973) 827-7700 ext. 229. You may also download the Internal Affairs Report Form and submit it by email to internalaffairs@franklinpd.org, by U.S. mail, or you may drop it off at police headquarters.
